Motion Branding

Lofone is a smartphone designed to offer essential features while minimising distractions. This focus aims to address smartphone addiction and encourage mindful usage. When Lofone partnered with Open Eye, the challenge was to create a brand that effectively communicated the practical benefits of their product, as well as their approachable and optimistic values. We drew inspiration from the nostalgia of simpler times and the beauty found in everyday moments, creating a brand that resonates with its audience in a genuine and down-to-earth manner.

All you need, nothing more

Lofone’s identity is built around “All you need, nothing more.” By focusing on the joy of simplicity and authenticity, the brand stands apart from others in the market, offering a practical product with a real human connection.

Typography & Colour

The warm and slightly eccentric details of Bricolage Grotesque align with Lofone’s ethos of being approachable and relatable. Its humanistic qualities make the brand feel inviting and authentic.

The colour palette uses a harmonious pairing of blue and green. The dark green anchors the more brighter tones. A vibrant shade of yellow-green brings life and a zingy energy to the brand. This combination creates contrast, and reinforces the brand's bold values.

A nod towards nostalgia for the simple things and simpler times

The brand distinguishes itself with playful nods to simpler times in its illustrations and animations. By emphasising the joy of simplicity and authenticity, it offers a practical product with a genuine human connection. This approach introduces charming and witty moments into areas of the brand that might otherwise feel purely functional and technology-driven.
